Captains' Communiqué - It's said that 'time waits for no man' and it seems like only yesterday we kicked off the golfing season with the first of the Friday afternoon roll-ups on 1st April. What a great afternoon that was with over 60 attending – some good golf and some great fun. Since then, the roll-ups have seen around 30+ attending each week (apart from one washout), which is considerably more than last year so thank you for your support. We have received comments that, on occasion, members are arriving at the range to find that there are no baskets next to the dispenser. Please could we remind you that once you have hit your range balls that you return the basket back to the rack next to the dispenser.
For anyone that had the chance to go and watch the BMW Championship at Wentworth, I'm sure you will agree that Wentworth and BMW put on a great show. Going into the last round there were so many great players in contention, but it was good to see Englishman Chris Wood come through the pack with a final round 69 to claim victory in such a prestigious event.
